Guest Suites and Rooms

The Chester House, one of Vermont's most comfortable inns, has seven attractive guest suites and rooms, each unique.

Rates vary by suite/room, as they vary in size and amenities.  Nightly rates and Off-Peak* rates (see dates below) include a full gourmet breakfast.  Each guest suite/room has a private bath, an in-room telephone with free local and long-distance calling*, voice-mail, both free WiFi (wireless) and dial-up Internet connectivity, and air-conditioning (in the warmer months).

* Guests at the Chester House may make free outgoing local and long distance phone calls to anywhere in the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam and Saipan.  Also, you can receive 24-hour incoming calls from family and friends to whom you have given the guest phone number: (802) 875-6532.  In addition, parties calling you on the guest line can leave you private voice-mail messages.

Suite 1

This beautiful first floor corner suite, decorated in blues and whites, features a comfortable queen canopy bed and cozy fireplace (in season).  A sofa offers a relaxing sitting area.

The private bathroom has a whirlpool bathtub & shower to soothe tired muscles after a hard day of skiing, shopping or sightseeing.

Suite 2

Decorated in rich browns, copper and brass, this handsome suite on southwest corner of the first floor has a canopied queen bed and a fireplace (in season).  

Its private bathroom features a steam shower, which is like having an in-room sauna.  If you have never taken a steam bath before, then this suite is for you. Nothing is more relaxing and refreshing.

This suite is handicapped-friendly.  It does not meet the strict ADA standard but is great for anyone with impaired mobility or who uses a wheel chair.

Room 3

This relaxing first floor room is decorated in lush greens and yellows.  The room has a romantic king bed which can also be arranged as two twin beds.  The room boasts a cozy fireplace (in season). 

The private bathroom for this room has a claw foot soaking tub with overhead shower, and the room is decorated in hunter green and white.

Suite 4

This bright and cheery second floor suite is the most-requested suite at the Inn.  Referred to by some as the "Honeymoon Suite," this large, sunny, corner suite is decorated in various relaxing shades of blue. 

The suite has a queen canopy bed, a welcoming sitting area and a fireplace (in season).  An antique desk is a good place to work, if you're here on business.  

There is a large 2-person Jacuzzi bath in the private bathroom, and a separate shower.

Suite 5

This very large second floor corner suite can sleep up to 4 persons, with its king-sized bed and a queen bed.  

The sitting area with its warming fireplace (in season) is a great place to relax after a day of skiing, shopping or sightseeing.  Couples traveling together like to gather in this suite at the end of the day to relax prior going to dinner.

The walk-in closet is so large that it doubles as a dressing area, and the antique desk is perfect if you are here on business and need a work surface.  

The suite is decorated in shades of peaceful green that are picked up in the colors of the handmade quilt on the bed.  The private bath has a shower.

Room 6

This second floor room has a queen-size bed.  Guests have commented on how tranquil the room is and how enjoyable it is to look out on the fir tree growing just outside the window.  

The room is decorated in tans and cream.  The private bath has a shower.

Room 7

This large second floor guest room, with its 4-poster queen bed and a single (twin) bed, can sleep three.  A small desk complements the room, which is done in tans and off-white.
