The Chester House is proud to have again received the rarely-awarded score of a perfect 100% on the annual inspection of our kitchen, our food service areas, our dining room and all our guest rooms by the Vermont Department of Health.

  • The Chester House has been placed by the U.S. Department of the Interior on the “National Register of Historic Places,” the official listing of U.S. cultural resources worthy of preservation.
  • The Chester House Inn is listed in the The Official Guide to American Historic Inns.
  • The Chester House has been repeatedly chosen by both the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Secret Service and by the U.S. Dept. of the Army when those branches of the U.S. Government had need for select accommodations in Vermont.

These innkeepers take your visit personally.  They talk with you, not to you and really want to make your stay special.  If our room is indicative of the others, it shouldn’t matter which one you select.  Warm, tastefully adorned and most comfortable.  The gathering room is inviting with a gently stoked, meticulously maintained fire.  Breakfasts are a hand-crafted, culinary delight.  This B&B is a value, period.
